Austin Saxophone Ensemble • ASE
If you are a 7th-12th grader, we want YOU to audition for our Spring and Fall Saxophone Ensembles and have a chance to play great music with other terrific students from Austin-area schools! Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Baritone saxophonists are all welcome.
We are also gearing up for our second annual Saxophone Summer Camp! Join us for 3 days of small group ensembles, games, group lessons, masterclasses, and more!
ASEYouth, (Austin Saxophone Ensemble – Youth) is an amazing opportunity for middle and high school saxophonists to rehearse and perform in a large saxophone ensemble, expand their musical horizons beyond band, and work with the top-flight saxophonists of the Austin Saxophone Ensemble.
We have a ton of fun every semester, and we can’t wait for you to join us!

ASEYouth is held twice a year, in spring and fall, and students can apply as soon as our announcement goes out. Students chosen to be ASEYouth participants will work with ASE’s professional saxophonists once a week for five weeks of practice and instruction, culminating in a concert as unique as our city. Rehearsals typically take place (unless otherwise noted) at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church; performance locations can vary.
Tuition for ASEYouth will be $150 per semester. This fee pays for faculty salary, venue rental, and securing the musical repertoire, and ensures we can continue to provide this valuable experience for young musicians in Austin.
