Austin Saxophone Ensemble presents:
The Nutcracker
A beloved holiday tradition is renewed as the Austin Saxophone Ensemble presents the Nutcracker on Thirteen Saxophones! Join us for Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s timeless classic and be transported to a realm of magic, adventure, and a land filled with the sweetest treats imaginable. The whimsical journey continues as we leave Halloween Town and discover the magic of Christmas Town in Crystal Alexander’s arrangement of Danny Elfman’s timeless classic The Nightmare Before Christmas.
Be ready to be dazzled by Vivaldi’s Concerto for Two Violins, and feel the nostalgic embrace of Tchaikovsky’s Souvenir de Florence, arranged by our very own Ben Kessler. And, of course, the return of ASE’s resident Mr. Grinch (featuring that most Boris Karloff-esque instrument, the bass saxophone).
